ACTA passed one of the several voting gates it needs to get through before becoming law.
It was ratified in Poland last night.  This was the scene at Polish parliament afterwards, as (presumably) a bloc of anti-ACTA politicians expressed their displeasure and, perhaps without knowing it, foretell of the Anonymous repercussions to this bill.
Some things you should know:
Online petitions are meaningless.  While they are well-intentioned and organized, the signing of a digital petition takes about twenty seconds, and does not require that you leave your beanbag chair in the coal cellar.  Politicians know this, and pay just as much attention to online petitions as is warranted by a “political action” that is literally less strenuous than leaving a YouTube comment.
Nothing except direct action is going to do a goddamn thing.  This means getting out in the street, it means DDoSing, it means vicious and widespread boycotts, site blackouts, and other strongarm tactics that actually impact the flow of money from corporations to lobbyists to politicians.  How do you, as a tiny flailing consumer, do this?  You can’t, really.  You can join up with groups that are intent on doing actions that actually mean something, adding your voice to a chorus of hundreds or thousands, instead of screaming alone.  You can contact celebrities, the spokespeople of our time, as ask them to leverage their followers on the issue.  You can write to Tumblr and ask for more blackouts.  None of these things will be very effective, so don’t be too disappointed when they don’t work, but they sure as fuck are more effective than online petitions, and the intense response to SOPA by corporations and consumers was responsible for getting it “tabled” (not dead, but dreaming lies).
ACTA was already signed by Obama in September of 2011.  He had been praising the bill for over a year prior, and signed it without reservation.  Most of us didn’t hear about it, and he likely used the 9/11 coverage to make sure of that.
Eventually, one of these bills will pass, and the pro-corporate laws will go into effect.  Expect it.  Be prepared.  Learn to circumvent this garbage and you’ll have a leg up when the feds shut down the internet as we know it.
The best thing you can do now is install Tor and learn how to use it.  Tor is free software and an open network that helps you defend against a form of network surveillance that threatens personal freedom and privacy, confidential business activities and relationships, and state security known as traffic analysis.  In order to circumvent the coming corporate takeover of the web, we’re going to have to go underground, creating a sub-internet of encrypted nodes known as a “darknet”.  It’s probably going to be like the internet was in the beginning, with most people only seeing what AOL wanted them to see, and only a small group of super-nerds existing outside of that bubble in the “real” internet.  It’ll take another twenty years for them to catch up to us again.
Welcome to the grim cyberpunk future.

Meet Omari. Two days ago he returned from the hospital after being hacked in the face by a machete defending an orphanage of 35 children by himself.
This man dedicates his life to take care of 35 orphaned children from the ages of 2-17 in Kenya. A couple of days ago a group of thugs raided the orphanage to pilage anything they could find, after beating and slashing Omari’s face for defending the children and himself from a previous attempted attack.
The only thing the children are living off of right now are things growing from their small garden, and eggs from a couple of chickens in their coup. Reddit looked to aim to raise $2,000 a couple of hours ago to help build a concrete wall around the orphanage with a 3 layered barbed-wire coil set on top.
In 3 hours, over $11,000 has been donated - and all the extra money is going to feeding them, giving them an education, keeping these children (and many more) safe, and building a new facility.
Please feel free to donate here: http://www.longonoteducation.org/

“Bipolar” Album Update/News

I have to be honest, there has been some slacking on my end which plays part in this album not being finished, nore any leaks being released yet.

Im working as a one man team right now pretty much, doing all my own design work for merch (store IS coming) and for the album itself and promos to go along with it.

Also in the design work, im here, updating and doing the design work for the website and the youtube page, the twitter and the facebook.

All That ontop of guest features and writing/producing/recording the new album. lets be real, its been a tough year. Im sure most of your who follow me on twitter or facebook, know i recently lost my little brother, That has hit me pretty hard the past few weeks and somewhat slowed my writting process. its slowly coming back but not like it was a few months ago. This along with general life issues and just life in itself have gotten in the way and i am deeply sorry for the lack of communication and the lack of new music for all of you.

That being said, THIS ALBUM WILL BE OFF THE FUCKING BIKE RACK, ive been able to take my time and scrap songs i dont like or i feel wont get everyones attention, im able to focus on making an album worth the money itunes makes you pay for it.

Not a single song will be on this album that i dont 1000000% approve of first. This album is me in a pure form, thats why i called it “Bipolar” because its what i am and it takes all my emotions and life stories and bundles them into one package so you can party to my pain and sorrow and have fun with me at the same time.

The studio and i havnt seen one another much recently, ive been too busy with life and trying to write quality songs for this record. When i do hit the album its been for some guest spots of other Pinegrove artists. BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR THOSE!

theres some awesome songs we all put together that should be released sometime this year or early next year (im being hopeful)

Check back on this site for more entrys to this blog, im going to make it a goal ontop of communicatong with yall on twitter and facebook to update this atleast once a month. even if its just some ramblings i have or a rant here and there. ALSO, be sure to keep the forum active ill be checking that out EVEYDAY so leave me questions and comments in there.

im slightly drunk so forgive my spelling and grammer

oh…and fuck your mothers mothers mother. that is all.

Love,

INTERVIEW WITH BRYAN ELLER - 2011

Bryan: What do you think of other comedy music song writers,Bo Burnham, Rucka Rucka Ali, and Jon Lajioe?

Ed Words: Fuck Bo Burnham, I don’t think I know Jon Lajioe, and I hope Rucka Rucka Ali does great in the future, I may not get all of his music, but I repect and encourge him with his work, Pinegrove Records is a family, and rucka is my homie. Without Rucka, Pinegrove Records is nothing. without him you wouldn’t know me.

Bryan: Jon Lajioe is the Youtube based only comedian song writer from his popular songs “Show me your Gentials”, “WTF Collective”, and “Everyday Normal Guy”, do you remember any of these songs?

Ed Words: That one, Show me your genitals, that made me laugh

Bryan: Do you think your songs will ever get removed/ or going to get removed from Youtube?

Ed Words: nah, im not labeled as a racist and my songs arnt that over the top to the point where anyone would be offended enough to take them down. my videos also dont have many views on them so im hella under the radar

Bryan: Do you think Rucka Rucka Ali’s songs will ever be accepted by Youtube?

Ed Words:no

Bryan: Where do you find yourself in the next 3 years?

Ed Words:In the studio getting my grind on. ive always told myself when i was younger that id be “Rich by 26” i got 2years left to get my cream up. so thats where i see myself in 3

Bryan: With Enuiem out there, do you think you’ll ever be as good as he is now?

Ed Words:if he ever stops, or lets another white emcee get some light. im still crafting my style, its only a matter of time before i take over

Bryan: Do you hang out with the other Pinegrove Record’s artists?

Ed Words:i chill with all of em

Bryan: Where do you live now?

Ed Words:Metro Detroit

Bryan:How did you get represented by Pinegrove Reords, the beginning of how you got picked up?

:I’ve known rucka and the owner for years, we went to school together but i used to be an emcee, and when i felt i wasnt really good enough and cats wasnt paying any attention, i moved on and became a manager. my artist wasnt really about business, he was more about bullshit and wasting time. i always kicked rhymes even when i was a manager and still wrote shit down in notebooks. i hadnt heard from Randy (the owner of Pinegrove) in a long time, then one day he hit me up to get on this song “Homeless” with rucka. i came to the studio, heard the shit rucka had laid down and put my goofball hat on and ran with it. then i was invited back to record one of my own songs, and after that it was a wrap, i was a member of the squad within a few weeks. right after ruckas show in warren with eminems little brother Nate Kane actually

Bryan: Now, at the time did you have a job?

Ed Words:Yeah. im currently working at a physical therapy clinic in the detroit area. bootleggers dont let you pay the rent. know what im sayin

Bryan: LOL, yes I do, How do you think Pinegrove Records is doing with you now on the team?

Ed Words:i think pinegrove is, was and, will always be a powerhouse record label. with or without me. With me, they are getting a different ummm consumer base of fans. a different age to market to. my music isnt for everyone, so while some people might like that pop/new school sound, Ed Words keeps the underground, real hiphop, hardcore kids interested in what pinegrove is putting out.

without me they are just fine aswell, i mean shit, they ARE the #1 Independent Comedy Record Label in the World

Bryan: Do you think that you’ll be notice more with the label behind you?

Ed Words:for sure, with a label and money for promo and guest features behind me im far better off than i was when i was alone trying to make it

Well thats the end of the Interview
